Winwick is a village we get out to a lot, three miles along the A49 from where we are based in Golborne. It is quieter and more rural than the towns nearby, sitting just north of Warrington with the M6 at junction 22 and the M62 a short hop away, so plenty of the cars here spend the week piling on motorway miles. The houses tend towards the larger end: detached family homes, a fair few cottages near St Oswald’s church and newer builds on the edges of the village, most of them with private driveways and room to spare.
