What is the difference between valeting and detailing?

A valet is a thorough clean inside and out. A detail goes further: it decontaminates the paint so it is properly smooth, treats the trim and glass to a higher standard, and finishes with long lasting protection. Detailing costs more because it takes far longer and leaves the car cleaner, smoother and better protected than a wash can.

Do you machine polish or correct the paint?

We are a valeting and detailing service, so our focus is deep cleaning, decontamination and protection rather than machine paint correction. If your paint is heavily swirled and you want the marks machined out, that is a specialist paint correction job and we will point you in the right direction. What we do is get the paint properly clean, smooth and protected so it looks its best.

How long does a full detail take?

A proper detail is a half day to a full day depending on the size and condition of the car. We would rather book the right amount of time and do it once than rush it.

Do you detail the inside as well?

Yes. A full detail treats the interior to the same standard: seats and carpets deep cleaned, plastics and leather cleaned and protected, glass done properly and every vent and seam worked through.

Is detailing worth it on an older car?
