How long does a ceramic coating last?

A coating lasts far longer than a wax or sealant, protecting the paint for years rather than months. Exactly how long depends on the coating we use and how the car is washed and stored. We will talk you through the realistic lifespan for your car before you book.

Does the paint need to be perfect first?

It needs to be properly clean and decontaminated, which is most of the work and where the result comes from. A coating protects and enhances the finish that is there, so we prep it thoroughly first. If the paint is heavily swirled and you want those marks machined out beforehand, that is a specialist paint correction job that we do not offer, and we will be straight with you about it.

Is a ceramic coating worth it over wax?

If you keep your cars a while and want long term protection with much easier upkeep, a coating earns its place. If you change cars often or want a quick lift for a sale, a wax may make more sense. We are happy to give you a straight opinion for your situation.

How do I look after a coated car?
