Inside, the seats, carpets and boot are shampooed and steamed, every plastic wiped down and protected, and the glass cleared so it stops misting up. Roughly how long are you there for a full valet?

It is normally a two to three hour job, and a big SUV or a really grubby interior can push it a fair bit past that. We plan the day so we are not watching the clock, because a full valet done properly is not one to rush.

Should I get a full valet done before listing the car for sale?

It is well worth it. A car that is spotless inside and out photographs better for the advert and gives buyers the sense it has been cared for, which nearly always helps it shift quicker and for a bit more. For not much outlay it is one of the best moves you can make before you list it.

Do I need to be home the whole time?

No. As long as we can get to the car and you are around at the start and the end, you can carry on with your day. We will let you know when we are close to finishing so you can have a look before we go.
